Sin Chew Daily 16/8/2010, Metro Edition

Two months ago, a pretty young girl who looked like a "idol-drama" actress visited my shop. Turned out that she was a reporter instead. After browsing my shop, she asked my permission to feature my shop in Sin Chew Daily.

Shuang Yan, the pretty young reporter, is the earliest who discover my shop among all journalists. And I believe this is the first story of a LOFT of things run by main stream media. Thank you Shuang Yan.

Featured in THE SUN, August 23, 2010

a LOFT of things featured in The Sun (August 23, 2010, Monday). To read this feature, please click on the image to enlarge it.
A customer told me she read about a LOFT of things in The Star. But I'd never seen that one. Does anyone know when the feature came out in the Star?

Project Sunshine Go Go Go

NTV7 news anchor Jiaqi came to my shop and asked me if it was possible to provide costumes for her new show, Project Sunshine.

Of course. Anything for this sweet and extremely nice lady.

Watched the first episode of Project Sunshine on the internet just now. A heart warming show, it dealt with autistic children in the first episode. Stories of autistic children were unfolded in mere 30 minutes. I thought it was going to be a sensational show, but instead of tears and sorrow, the show was filled with laughter and positive energy. Great job, Jiaqi and the whole NTV7 crew!

If you'd missed the show like I did, you can catch the show on NTV7 website.

It felt a little surreal when I saw the credit rolled up: Costume sponsored by a LOFT of things. It was the first time I saw my logo on a TV show. :P

A Vintage Jacket

What a nice vintage sports jacket, I wish I could steal it from her. This lady is Shin Hooi, a walked in customer and a vintage maniac. She said she inherited this brown jacket from her uncle, and she often seek for old clothes from dad, mum and relatives.

Shin Hooi had a rather unique fashion sense. This is a black blouse I used to have. Usually I'd suggest customers to simply wear it with a pair of leggings. But She matched it with a silk dress, and I think the result was marvelous!

Say Welcome to....

Say welcome to Char Chyi, my new staff in a LOFT of things. Yesterday was her first day, and I liked her already. She learned fast, and she took initiatives to clean the floor, wipe the showcase, while I didn't even give her any instruction. I admire this young lady's work attitude. She is a bit shy though, so don't bully her.

I want to thank Char Chyi parents and brother Ermesd. Why? Because I believe it was the way they raised their kids, so Char Chyi has grown to be a good-manners, understanding and responsible young lady.

This is also Char Chyi first job. And I hope she can gain some enriching experience in a LOFT of things.

Don't you think this lady looks so cool? She is Valarie. She totally possesses this action movie's heroin look, like Angelina Jolie or Mila Jovovich... Of course, I'm not saying she looks like them, but I'd cast her as a assassinate or a beautiful spy in a James Bond movie. Ha ha.

All the outfits she was wearing were available in a LOFT of things. But, that's right, it's "were". They were all sold out.

But my new stock has finally arrived! Come check them out!
