Models from Amber Chia Academy
First of all, I want to congratulate all students who just graduated from Amber Chia Academy. Ben and Swing just passed me the photos today. You girls (and guys, of course) did a great job. You all look fabulous and carry out the different sides of the dresses. I must say, you impress me.
Secondly, And I want to congratulate Amber Chia, Ben, Swing, and everyone in Amber Chia Academy, because Amber Chia Academy in Melacca is officially launched tomorrow! Another branch opened in such a short span of time, wow! Amber Chia Academy is expanding so fast! And I happen to know that Amber Chia Academy will have yet another campus open soon!
All outfits are available in a LOFT of things.
More models graduated from Amber Chia Academy are going to wear fashion from a LOFT of things, so, stay tuned.

See the tote bag with colorful stripe? And the black and white cardigan? Those stripe dress by Villiam Ooi? The polka dot shirt and singlet? They all look familiar?

I was in charge to write the feature for this compilation of stories, while the interview were done by others. The part that I wrote can be found at below blog post.

What surprised me was, the editor also decided to loan some fashion items from me to compliment this feature. Jane Wong, thanks!

Happy Deepavali, Malay TV Presenter Vena and What a Great Weekend!
Malay TV presenter Vena
Happy (belated) Deepavali! I want to thank all the customers who visited a LOFT of things(ALOT) during last few days. Business was great, and most of all, I had a great time serving all the creative and easy going customers.
Malay TV presenter Vena and her gang of friends were among the creative and open minded ones. They happily tried out the outfits, mixed and matched themselves, and I must say, the way they mix and match the fashion pieces inspired me and my staff. I really didn't have to give much advice, they picked out some "strange" garments (as you know, I have quite a number of "strange" garments here in ALOT), and boldly matched them with other unexpected pieces.
Not all of the looks they created were great, but I really admire their COURAGE and willingness to TRY, to CREATE THEIR OWN STYLE. It's ok to make mistake, cos I believe, FASHION IS ALL ABOUT HAVING FUN!
All outfits shown in the pictures above are available at a LOFT of things.

Congrats on Graduating, Louise!
Chiffon top: RM66.90 Structured Shorts: RM55.90
I want to congratulate Louise, a barely 21 y/o (or younger?) customer who just graduated from college. She came to a LOFT of things when we just opened our doors in June, and visited us again recently, to buy herself some casual wears and a dress for her mum.
"I have a part time job now, so I want to buy something for my mum to wear on my convocation." Louise told me. It moved me instantly. What a good and loving daughter!
Auntie, you must be very proud of your daughter!

Sin Chew Daily 16/8/2010, Metro Edition
Two months ago, a pretty young girl who looked like a "idol-drama" actress visited my shop. Turned out that she was a reporter instead. After browsing my shop, she asked my permission to feature my shop in Sin Chew Daily.
Shuang Yan, the pretty young reporter, is the earliest who discover my shop among all journalists. And I believe this is the first story of a LOFT of things run by main stream media. Thank you Shuang Yan.

A customer told me she read about a LOFT of things in The Star. But I'd never seen that one. Does anyone know when the feature came out in the Star?

Project Sunshine Go Go Go
NTV7 news anchor Jiaqi came to my shop and asked me if it was possible to provide costumes for her new show, Project Sunshine.
Of course. Anything for this sweet and extremely nice lady.
Watched the first episode of Project Sunshine on the internet just now. A heart warming show, it dealt with autistic children in the first episode. Stories of autistic children were unfolded in mere 30 minutes. I thought it was going to be a sensational show, but instead of tears and sorrow, the show was filled with laughter and positive energy. Great job, Jiaqi and the whole NTV7 crew!
If you'd missed the show like I did, you can catch the show on NTV7 website.
It felt a little surreal when I saw the credit rolled up: Costume sponsored by a LOFT of things. It was the first time I saw my logo on a TV show. :P
